This Lent, Eastminster will again collect nonperishable food items and formula for two of our ministry partners, Union Rescue Mission and Embrace of Wichita. URM’s mission is helping homeless and hurting people restore their lives through God’s love. Embrace envisions the day when all women and men faced with pregnancy decisions are empowered to choose life for their unborn children and abundant life for their families in Jesus Christ.

Please place items in the collection bin in the lobby March 23 through April 6.

Food Shopping List: canned foods, instant boxed potatoes, juice (apple, orange, cranberry), pork and beans, baked beans, spaghetti sauce, rice, vegetable or olive oil, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, sugar, flour, breakfast drinks, coffee, pancake syrup.
Formula: Generic brands of Similac powder, 33-48 ounces (Look for the orange or blue lid!)

John Brown University is a leading Christian university located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. JBU’s acclaimed Cathedral Choir continues a long-standing tradition of musical excellence. Since the formation of the Choir, they have traveled extensively across the U.S. and internationally. Every year, the Choir tours to share the good news of God’s kingdom, and to inspire people’s hearts through Christ-centered music. Eastminster will host the JBU Cathedral Choir for a concert on Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in our sanctuary. Their concert theme is “Anthems Old and New.” The program includes a mix of composers from different eras and styles, all expressing the message of God’s eternal truths. The choir is honored to share their music and desires to create an encouraging worship experience through their performance. May this musical offering bring glory, honor, and praise to our faithful and eternal God.

Women’s Retreat: Living with the Psalms

March 28, 6:30 – 9 p.m. (Friday) & March 29, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Saturday)

Join us as we discover how the Psalms of the Bible can be used for living our lives today. Whitney Pipkin, author of We Shall All Be Changed, will take us deeper with her study that ranges from psalms of lament to psalms of praise. Wherever you are in your walk with God, we invite you to gather for fellowship with a beautiful community of intergenerational women and be encouraged in your faith. We’ll worship together, share meals, hear testimonies, and have small group time. Mark your calendars today!

We’re excited to welcome our guest speaker, Mike Jaderston, Friends Campus Pastor and Eastminster member. Mike will be sharing powerful insights on leadership, life, and spiritual formation.

The morning will begin with coffee and fellowship at 8:00 AM, followed by delicious breakfast tacos served at 8:15 AM. We’ll then move into two engaging sessions with Mike, with short breaks in between, and conclude with a live Q&A session.

APRIL 26, 2025, 9:30AM-2PM

On April 26th, we are partnering with Westminster Woods for a family work day, in lieu of our usual GO ICT that serves in Wichita.

Volunteers of all ages will serve the Woods through a variety of projects, like raking, planting, cleaning, and painting. There will be projects for littles and those with less mobility, including a prayer focused group and another group who will write encouragement verses for the 160 bunks at camp.

We will meet at 8am in the church parking lot for those who wish to carpool, or go directly to the Woods Fireside Room by 9:30AM for coffee and pastries.
We’ll divide into volunteer teams and work 9:45-12:45.
Lunch will be served by 1pm, along with a time of sharing and celebration.
This is a fantastic opportunity to share our love and support of the Woods with the greater congregation!

The Wichita Christian Forum continues its mission to enrich the cultural and spiritual life of the Wichita area. WCF strives to increase the visibility of the Christian message in the local community, provide a gathering place for Christians from all walks of life, inspire and challenge followers of Christ, and present the life-changing message of Jesus to those who have not yet met him. First Saturday of the month 7:30am – 9:00am

What if there was a place men could be in fellowship with likeminded men that’s different than a typical Bible study or a usual men’s group, a place where men are excited to go and where they are excited to bring others, a safe place to learn and to grow our faith and also discuss some of life’s challenges not generally openly talked about in church and a place that helps us intentionally grow as Christian men, husbands and fathers!

Confirmation is an important step in the faith journey of our students as they claim their faith for their own. Confirmation involves sharing a personal testimony, learning the essentials of our faith and discovering how you can serve the church with your gifts and passions. Join us as we welcome these students as members of Eastminster Church and pray over them as they make the decision to be confirmed at Eastminster.

Everyone wants to choose their cabin for camp… and now you can! The small group at the end of the event gets first dibs on the cabin of their choice!

Wave goodbye to summer with the summer gala. Dress down for this red-carpet event with your friends as we dance the night away, celebrating the end of summer!

Austin, TX Mission Trip – June 14th – 20th, 2025

Cost: $450
Get ready to make a difference! We’re heading to Austin, TX, with a team of 25 high school students and parents to serve in impactful ways. You’ll have the chance to work with local kids programs, support homeless and veterans ministries, assist at food banks, visit nursing homes, and more.
