What to Expect

We know that walking into a new place can feel a little uncertain — and we want to make it easy. At Eastminster, you won’t be singled out or put on the spot. Instead, you will be warmly welcomed by people who call this church home. Our volunteers will help you find a comfortable seat, and a simple QR code at your seat gives you everything you need to know about the service and what’s happening in the life of our church.
During the service, you are welcome to participate as much or as little as you would like — that includes the offering. No pressure, just an open invitation.

Kids and Students on Sundays

At Eastminster, kids matter! Although children are always welcome in worship, we also offer age-appropriate environments for infants through high school during our Sunday 9:30 a.m. services and infants through second grades during our Sunday 11 a.m. services. We also offer a Quiet/Nursing room near the sanctuary in room B-10 with a live video feed of the service for parents with littles to visit. Our entire Kids and Students Teams, including volunteers, have completed background checks as well as Ministry Safe training, and we have a secure check-in process to ensure your kids’ safety.

Frequent Questions

What are the services like?
Each of our services is unique in style, but they all include music, prayer, and teaching. At the 8 and 9:30 a.m. services, you’ll experience liturgy (prayers and Scripture we read out loud together), organ-led music, and hymns (“traditional” songs of the church). Our  Sunday 11 a.m. service is more “contemporary,” with music led by our worship band.
What should I wear?
Folks at our 8 and 9:30 a.m. services tend to dress a bit more formally, and our pastors wear robes. But you’ll see a mix of all clothing styles at every service, from work-wear to weekend-wear. So please feel welcome to dress comfortably—whatever that means for you.
How long do services last?
Our services last about an hour. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, it’s helpful to arrive 15 minutes early so you can stop by our welcome desk in the lobby. If you have children and would like them to experience our kids ministry, please arrive 15 minutes before the service begins so we can introduce you to our team and explain our secure check-in process. Read more about our kids ministry.
What kind of people attend Eastminster?
People just like you—and people very different from you, too! We’re a multi-generational church of people in all seasons of life and from all sorts of backgrounds. You’ll fit in. Don’t worry!
