Eastminster’s Wichita Christian Forum welcomes the church and community to a night with Brenda Warner. As a speaker, philanthropist, and New York Times best-selling author, Brenda is known for candidly sharing her life’s struggles and triumphs. Through her charitable work and message of hope and faith, she has inspired countless women facing their own dark days. You’ll be moved by Brenda’s incredible story of overcoming obstacles through redemption and perseverance.

Confirmation is an important step in the faith journey of our students as they claim their faith for their own. Confirmation involves sharing a personal testimony, learning the essentials of our faith and discovering how you can serve the church with your gifts and passions. Join us as we welcome these students as members of Eastminster Church and pray over them as they make the decision to be confirmed at Eastminster.

Celebrate the graduates of Washington Elementary’s Getting Ahead Program. Join us as we honor 13 graduates and their families who have completed the program, building resources for a better life. We especially welcome all those who volunteered in the program or cooked/donated meals to attend the ceremony and reception.

Our graduating fifth graders will join Middle School for the first time (in the Middle School Basement), and graduating eighth graders will join High School (North Building). All other grades will move up in August at the Fall Launch.

Those in the group may be in the same or different life stage as you, and the evening will be one of conversation and connection. Your host will provide a main dish – just bring a side to share. Would you like to improve your listening and counseling skills? Or make an impact in the community? One way to be a bridge between the church and the world is through receiving Chaplaincy Training, a 40-hour certified course – open to anyone. Chaplaincy Training provides a practical approach to dealing with stress management, grief/loss, trauma, depression/suicide, disaster preparedness, and other topics. You can take this course to become an official credentialed chaplain or just to grow your skills. Chaplains serve in local businesses, schools, healthcare, fire and law enforcement, and within prisons and jails. Talk to Denny Bender or Pastor Ken to learn more; they have both taken the training!
