COVID Guidelines & What to Expect on Campus

Sundays at 9:30 and 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Beginning Sunday, May 9, masks are optional on campus, with two exceptions. The north half of the Sanctuary will be a masked section and include social distancing, for those who feel more comfortable with that environment. The classrooms in the Kids Wing will also be masked (ages 5+) for the safety of our teachers. The south half of the Sanctuary and all other spaces are mask optional, with no seating restrictions. Coffee and drinks will again be available in Fellowship Hall.
Our church family has done a wonderful job of navigating this season with grace and love. We encourage you to continue in that spirit, rather than letting these guidelines become divisive. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:12-14
This is a great time to come back to church if you’ve been away! We invite you to rejoin the Eastminster family as you feel comfortable. Online services will continue if you’re not able to join us on campus.

FAQs

What are the services like?
Each of our services are slightly different, but they all include music, prayer, and teaching. At the Sunday 9:30 a.m. service, you’ll experience liturgy (prayers and Scripture we read out loud together), organ-led music, and hymns (“traditional” songs of the church). Our Sunday 11 a.m. services are more “contemporary,” with music led by a band, rather than an organ or choir. And online you can choose between traditional and contemporary styles.

What should I wear?
Folks at our Sunday 9:30 a.m. services tend to dress a bit more formally, and our pastors wear robes at those times. But you’ll see a mix of all clothing styles at every service, from work-wear to weekend-wear. So please feel welcome to dress comfortably—whatever that means for you.

How long do services last?
During this season of health concerns, our services will run under an hour to allow spaces to be cleaned between gatherings.
