After delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, God gave commandments for his people to Moses at Mount Sinai. God promised to all Israel that He would be with them, they would be His people, and He would be their God. The desert was harsh and the Israelites did not have faith in God that He would deliver them to the land that was promised, so they were forced to wander the desert for 40 years. Are you forming your life on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, or are you only living for the material stuff and other idols that will never satisfy and only enslave? If we ask God, He will always meet our needs.
