The kingdom of God advances as we bring people under the rule of Christ by bringing them to faith in Him. We do not do this by the sword, or by coercion or through a political party, but we do it through acts of love, service, the sharing of the gospel and the power of the Spirit that comes from prayer. Both Moses and Jesus gave as their final instructions the command to advance the kingdom of God, to take the land. Sometimes we’re afraid to do what God wants. Whenever we find ourselves resisting the voice of God, behind that resistance is fear and reluctance to obey. God says be strong and courageous. Let’s take the land, for the Lord is with us!
