Experience what life and ministry are like in Africa where our missions partners travel to unreached villages to preach the Gospel. This immersive, interactive weekend is designed for families to be able to engage together in missions – there is something for everyone! Connect with our missions partners and learn how to pray for them, taste authentic African food, try your hand at a cooking class or African dancing, or get your face painted like a lion. Bishop Charles Sekelwa will join us from Tanzania, as well Dr. Don Davis from TUMI/World Impact as Keynote Speaker. Register at eastminster.org/goencounter in the month of August to be entered in an early bird drawing for local restaurant gift cards.

#WeLoveWashington! As temperatures drop, let’s bless the kids at Washington Elementary with warm coats and winter gear. Please bring new or gently used children’s coats, gloves and hats in a variety of sizes for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. All sizes are welcome, from sizes 5/6 to youth 14/16 and even adult small. Drop items in the collection bin in the lobby or the Kid’s Wing. Donations accepted through November 3.

Join us for an authentic catered African lunch after the one worship service and congregational meeting. The Africa mission team will share stories of God at work from their time serving in Malawi and Kenya this October.

Delivery Day: Saturday, November 23, 9 a.m.; Sanctuary

We LOVE our city. And we want to bless and serve our Wichita community however we can. One way to serve is through packing and delivering boxes brimming with holiday food to local families. We reach out to area elementary schools like Washington and Colvin, and local ministries like YoungLife, Embrace and World Impact, and they choose clients that would most benefit from the boxes. We meet in the Gym to fill the boxes, which is a great way for all ages to serve. Then we personally deliver boxes to local homes where there is often the chance to connect and pray with the recipients.
