Deacons at Eastminster

Our deacons’ primary role is the care and support of the congregation. Their five teams each serve a unique need among our members. While deacons lead these teams, they are open to everyone who wants to serve our church family. Bereavement Care

Assists with funerals and receptions at the church. Provides care, prayer, comfort, support, and encouragement for Eastminster members and their families during the loss of a loved one.

Care away from Home

Provide semi-annual care, prayer, comfort, support and encouragement for Eastminster members and their families who are temporarily away from home (college students, deployed military and their families).

Hospital Care

Visits and prays with those in the hospital.

Homebound Care

Cares for and visits those who are unable to attend church. Assists with transportation to appointments. (If you or a loved one would like to be visited by this team, contact Ginger Cox. Thank you for understanding that this team is specifically for those who are completely unable to attend church.)

Membership Concerns

Oversee immediate care, prayer, comfort, support, encouragement and financial support for Eastminster members as concerns arise without creating dependency.
