To Renege on Restraint
God's love persists, God keeps His promises. God wants us to be whole headed and whole hearted. You should love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. It's a call to renege on restraint. What do you put your whole self into? Does is quench the spirit? Does it choke spontaneity? Does it demand your very best? Does it bring you sheer joy? Does it make you a cheerful giver? We are invited to put our whole selves into the love of God. For a Christian there is no expiration date on enthusiasm. We are loved by God and we ought to be responsive to that love day after day after day. The Christian faith involves knowledge, will and emotions. The Christian faith involves body, mind and spirit. If love be timid, it be not true. It's all in or nothing. The almighty wants a relationship with you!
