Remember that one phrase you learned in third grade, something called the golden rule? Basically it says “treat other people the way you’d like to be treated.” What an awesome idea. At ekklesia, we’re pretty big fans of that. We want to show everyone we meet the love and kindness of Jesus. One of the ways we do that is through our servant teams.

Servant teams are the various groups that make ekklesia run and make people feel welcomed there. We think Jesus calls us to give back to our church and others, so serving on teams is a great way to do that. If you’d like to give back by serving at ekklesia, let us know! Child care: We need loving hearts to care for our little ones (0 – 5 years) on Sunday nights. Even if you don't plan to attend ekklesia, serving on Sunday evenings is a great way to get involved and serve at Eastminster. Hospitality: Got a smile? Perfect. We'd love to have you on our Guest Services team to greet people, answer questions or help during the experience to seat people and collect the offering.

Baristas: That's right, you can be the one to pour that all-important cup of joe for the ekklesians. Gourmet coffee and meeting new people...what more could you ask for?

Set up and tear down: If you'd like to come early or stay late to help us with the set up and tear down of everything ekklesia, we'd love to have you. This job may require some heavy lifting.

Decor: Got an eye for style? Help us make ekklesia the most welcoming, cool place in Wichita by choosing what decor will go into the Sanctuary during the experience.

Prayer: The most important part of our preparation for ekklesia. The prayer team prays over the experience each week before it starts, and with those who need prayer support afterwards.

Creative Elements: These are the folks who decide what kind of cool stuff will go on each Sunday. Everything from decor to special parts of the gathering to texting to missions and service, they come up with everything ekklesia!
