I am on the 11 a.m. worship team, participating as a vocalist.

What is your profession outside of Eastminster?

I retired from Sprint Nextel Corp. May 31, 2010. I was the regional enterprise account manager.

What leadership/volunteer positions in the community do you hold?

I have volunteered as a marshal the last three years at the Wichita Open.

Family information, hobbies, interests

In 2008, Sprint asked me to move to Wichita from Kansas City, knowing I have family in Wichita and had talked about retiring here. So we moved to Wichita in May 2008.

My wife, Pat, and I have three children and five grandchildren. Daughter Lori and her husband, Doug Melton, live in Derby (two sons, Nathan-15 and Tanner-13); son Brody and wife Jenny in Overland Park, Kan., (Maddox-4 and Lina-2); and daughter Jodi and her husband, Shaun Karlin, of Wichita (son Mason-2).

Pat and I enjoy gardening, and I enjoy playing golf. We also travel to Kansas City monthly to visit family and friends. We also travel to Arizona for January and February.
