Worship Update

by Deb Hilscher

Worship Elder, Interim Director of Community

As chair of the worship committee, I want to share with you about recent worship happenings. Our ekklesia service will come to a close on October 16. I want you to know this decision was not made lightly, as this service has been an important part of our church and a blessing to those in the community. During the last two and a half years, ekklesia has reached out to our community, providing a place of acceptance, learning and growth for those investigating who God is. ekklesia has also served our community through projects like the Advent Conspiracy, packing food for victims of the Haiti earthquake and more. We thank God for the work he's done through this ministry.

We are excited about the future of worship at Eastminster. Though our church is undergoing a time of transition, this also means a great opportunity for growth in all areas. In fact, we've already begun to look at how we can implement new elements at our 11 a.m. worship service. We're committed to creating unique, meaningful contemporary worship here at Eastminster. If you'd like to be a part of shaping this vision, a contemporary worship leadership team is forming now. Contact me at the church to learn more about getting involved in this great opportunity.
