What do you love most about your job at Eastminster?
I love working with the children every day and learning to know the parents. Our preschool and KDO staff are the best. I love working with these wonderful Christian women. Our Children’s Wing is such a happy place, you can’t help but smile when you are here.
Who has had the greatest impact on your life?
My parents. I was raised in a Christian home and service to our church was a very important part of our life. I also got my determination and work ethic from them.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I am a crossword puzzle fanatic. I do at least one every day! I have also traveled to all 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii you are next.
What are you reading right now?
Children’s books!!!!
What is one of your proudest moments?
When I hear good things about my son and daughter and their many successes.
What is your favorite food?
Anything I do not have to cook! I love Chinese and Mexican.
What’s your favorite movie? Favorite musician?
I still love all of the old musicals; Sound of Music, Camelot, West Side Story, Show Boat, etc. My Favorite musicians are Josh Groban and Sandy Patti
Is there a Bible verse God is currently using in your life?
Jeremiah 29:11 has been my constant verse that I hold near and dear to my heart.
What’s your biggest challenge?
Remembering the names of all of the children I have enjoyed teaching over the last 40 years when I see them. It is getting harder!
Tell us about your family:
I have a married son Jason and his wife Amy who live in Manhattan, Kan., and a daughter, Allison who lives in Kansas City. I love being the mother of young adults. It is so much fun!
