How many years have you been a member at Eastminster?
I began attending Eastminster in 1960 while I was dating Suzanne Ganzer. We were married at Eastminster in 1963, and I joined in 1969 after moving back to Wichita from Colorado Springs.
What committee(s) do you serve on at Eastminster?
I am currently serving on the EPC Transition Task Force.
What other groups or ministries are you active in at the church?
I am involved with the Tuesday morning prayer group and help team teach Lessons in Reformed Theology Sunday school class. In addition, Suzanne and I are involved in a small group Bible study.
What is your profession outside of Eastminster?
I am retired after 30+ years as a mechanical consulting engineer in the design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional facilities.
What leadership/volunteer positions in the community do you hold?
Served as the past president of the Wichita Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and nine years on the Mechanical Board of the City of Wichita.
Family information, hobbies and interests.
Married to Suzanne Ganzer Moody. We have two children, a son, David, who is married to Barbie who has given us four grandchildren. David is currently serving as the Associate Pastor, 1st Presb. Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. Our daughter, Debby, is an Assistant District Attorney for Douglas County in Lawrence, Kan.
Suzanne and I have been privileged to be involved in a number of short-term mission experiences.
As time allows, I work on remodeling of our bathroom and my hobby of photography.
Is there a Bible verse God is currently using in your life?
Two verses that have played a significant role in my life are Mark 8:36 & 37, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? For what can a man give in return for his life?" And John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
